Educational Qualifications
- Executive Engineer: B.E./ B.Tech in Civil / Electrical Engineering form any recognized University or Institute.
- Assistant Registrar: MasterS Degree in any Discipline with 55% Marks form any recognized University or Institute.
- Medical Officer: M.B.B.S Degree form any recognized University or Institute. Register in State Medical Council or IMC.
- Technical Assistant: B.Tech/ B.E./ MCA in Related Trade or Stream form any recognized University or Institute.
- Superintendent: Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University or Institution. Knowledge of Computer applications.
- Personal Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University or Institution. Speed of 100 W.P.M in Stenography
- Pharmacist: Class 12th Passed in Science from recognized Board. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma). Registered as Pharmacist under Pharmacist Act 1948.
- Senior Assistant: Class 12th Passed from any recognized Board. Speed of 35 W.P.M in Stenography.
- Senior Technician & Technician: Class 12th Passed in Science from recognized Board with 60% Marks OR ITI Passed in any related Trade from any recognized University/ Institute. OR Diploma in any related Trade from any recognized University/ Institute.
- Office Attendant: Class 12th Passed from any recognized Board.

Educational Qualifications
- The essential qualification, essential requirements, and cumulative essential credit points advertised herewith shall be governed by the Schedule ‘E’ of NITs Statutes.
- All New Entrants shall have a Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline and shall have first class in preceding degrees.
Age Limit
- Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except in the case of faculty with exceptionally brilliant research careers and with ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.
Application Fee
- For General, OBC, and EWS candidates – Rs.1000/-
- For SC/ ST candidates – Rs.500/-
- For Women and PWD candidates – No Fees
Selection Process
- Selection will be done in two phases. In the first phase, the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a written test and/ or presentation on teaching and research in the area of their specialization.
- The written test will be conducted based on the GATE Syllabus.
- The second phase involves interviews by the Selection Committee.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test and/ or presentation and interview, as per the weightage decided by the Selection Committee.
