GATE 2023 Notification | Eligibility | Application Form | Registration | Exam – GATE 2023 is a national level engineering entrance exam. The Grititude Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted jointly by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs every year. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates will be able to submit the application fee through the online mode.
• The mode of payment includes credit cards, debit cards, net banking, UPI, etc.

GATE 2023 Application Form

• Gate 2023 application form will be made available through online mode. No other medium shall apply through postal or any other offline medium.
• Candidates will be able to fill the application form from the first week of September 2022.
• While filling the application form, candidates should not forget to upload passport size pictures and signatures in the prescribed format.
• Candidates can register for GATE 2023 till the last week of September 2022 without any late fee.
• The last date for submission of application form will be till the first week of October 2022 with a late fee.
  Candidates will be allowed to appear for any one or two papers out of a total of 29 subjects (papers).
• The application form will be accepted only for the eligible candidates, so the candidates are advised to check the complete eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.
• Candidates interested in the two papers will also have to fill up a single application form.
• Not more than one application form will be accepted.
• The authority will also provide correction facility to edit the choice of category, paper and exam city for a limited time period.
• Once the application form is submitted, candidates will have to take a print out of the same for future use.

GATE 2023 Exam Dates

GATE 2023 Exam Pattern

• Exam Mode: GATE 2023 will be conducted through online (computer based) mode.
• Topics / Topics Number of Papers: Total 29 papers/papers. There will be topics.
• Question Type: The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple-choice questions (MSQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
• Number of Sections: The question paper will have two sections i.e. General Aptitude (GA) and selected subjects of the candidate.
• Number of Questions: The GA will consist of 10 questions and the candidate’s selected subject will consist of 55 questions. There will be a total of 65 questions in the question paper.
• Time duration: Candidates will be given 3 hours to solve the paper.
• Maximum marks: The question paper will be of 100 marks.
• Marking Scheme: The questions will have 1 mark and 2 marks.
• Negative marking: In MCQ, 1/3 point will be deducted for MCQ and 2 points a possible 2/3rd for MCQ. There will be no negative marking in MSQ and NAT type questions.
