Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the WB TET Recruitment vacancy, the candidates should have some required qualifications and age limits. Actually, WB TET used to recruit young candidates for initial level operations. Let discuss the further details below.

Educational Qualifications

1) For Classes 1 to 5

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (R.C.1.), shall also be considered.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

2) Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.El.Ed. Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published AND

• Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.Ed. (Special Education) Course from RCI recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published. AND
• Persons who have appeared for the final examination of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published shall also be eligible to sit for the TET-2022. AND
• Persons who are undergoing D.El.Ed./ D.Ed. (Special Education)/ B.Ed. Training (session 2020-2022) and who have qualified in D.El.Ed./ D.Ed. (Special Education)/ B.Ed. Part-1 examination (session 2020-2022) will be given opportunity to apply for TET-2022.
• First Language: Applicants will have to choose any one of the following languages as first language: Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Oriya and Telugu. The choice will be on the basis of the medium of instruction in the school.
• Second Language: English (for all)
• Qualifying Marks A candidate who will score 60% and above out of the full marks (150) in the TET will be considered as TEI-2022 passed candidate.
