Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications
UTET Paper 1 Eligibility
- To apply for the UTET 2022 an applicant must have a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 38 years.
- Candidates 10+2/ 12th pass with a minimum of 50% marks, OR
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed/BTC) with 50 % Minimum Marks in HSS. - A Graduate in any Discipline with 50% marks with D.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education).
UTET Paper 2 Eligibility
- Must have graduated in any discipline with 50% marks along with B. Ed.
- With a minimum of 45% marks in B.Ed as per the National Teacher Education Council.
- Must have qualified SSC with at least 50% marks and have passed Bachelor degree in Elementary Education (B.L.Ed.),
- Must have qualified SSC (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and have passed Bachelors degree in B.A/ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
Age Limit
- The minimum age of the applicants who can sit for the exam should be 18 years and the maximum age must be 38 years.

Selection Process
- The selection of the candidates for the primary level teaching jobs in Bihar is done through the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET).
