Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• A degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University
• Any other equivalent / recognized qualification notified by the Central Government

Age Limit

• Minimum Age 18 years An Applicant should not be born after 1st July 2004
• Maximum Age 44 years An applicant should not be born before 2nd July 1978
• The Upper Age limit will be relaxed as per the Rules.

Application Fee

• Application Processing: Fee Each applicant must pay Rs. 200/- towards the Online Application Processing Fee.
• Examination Fee: The applicants have to pay Rs. 80/- towards Examination Fee.
• All unemployees are exempted from payment of examination fee.
• All Employees of any Government (Central/ State/ PSUs/ Corporations/ Other Government Sector) have to pay the prescribed examination fee.

Selection Process

• The Officials will conduct the Examination for the eligible candidates either through a Computer based recruitment test (CBRT) or Offline OMR based.

Salary

• The Food Safety Officer Pay scale is Rs. 42,300 – Rs. 1,15,270
