HP PAT 2023 Notification | Eligibility | Application Form | Exam Pattern – Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board (HPTEB), Dharamshala will conduct the Himachal Pradesh Polytechnic Entrance Examination (HPPAT 2023). Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the HP PAT Recruitment vacancy, the candidates should have some required qualifications and age limits. Actually, HP PAT used to recruit young candidates for initial level operations. Let discuss the further details below.

• Domicile: Candidates should be domicile holders of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
• Eligibility: 10th or equivalent examination from any recognized board is mandatory to apply for HP PAT.
• Marks: Candidates should have secured minimum 35% marks in the qualifying test.
• Subjects: Candidates should have passed 10th with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing for the 10th examination are also eligible to apply.

Application Fee

• The application fee will be paid through online or offline mode.
• The candidate will pay his online application fee to credit card/card. Can do so through debit card or net banking.
• The offline application fee can be paid through the state bank’s e-challan.

HP Polytechnic 2023 Application form

• The HP PAT 2023 application form has been released on March 20, 2023.
• The last date for submission of application form is May 20, 2023.
• The candidates will have to start filling the application form immediately after checking the instructions mentioned in the brochure.
• While filing the application form, applicants are required to enter some necessary details in the application form, for example personal details, educational details, syllabus related details, contact and parent details and further details.
• The entrants will also have to submit scanned images of photographs and signatures in the size and format given on the university’s authorised website.
• Applicants are asked to obtain a print out of the application form when the application form is fully filled.

HP PAT Exam Pattern

• Types of Questions: Questions will be multiple choice type questions.
• Duration of the exam: The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• Marking scheme: 4 points will be awarded for each correct response and 1 point will be deducted for each wrong response.
• Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Class X from English.
• Number of Questions: Total 150 questions (50 questions from Physics and Mathematics, 30 questions from Chemistry and 20 questions from English).
• Language of the test: English and Hindi language.

HP PAT 2023 Syllabus

• English: Active & passive, avoiding repetition, comparisons, conditionals, modal-expressing attitude, preposition, relatives, reporter speech, dialogue completion, fill in the blanks with suitable words, etc.
• Physics: Light, Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Electric current, sources of energy and environment, etc.
• Chemistry: Structure of atom, chemical reactions & equations, acids, bases & salts, metal & non-metal, carbon and its compounds, periodic classification of elements, etc.
• Mathematics: Real numbers, polynomials, pair of linear equations in two variables, quadratic equations, arithmetic progression, triangles, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, circles, constructions, area related to circles, surface area and volumes, statistics, probability, etc.
