Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the CAT Recruitment vacancy, the candidates should have some required qualifications and age limits. Actually, CAT used to recruit young candidates for initial level operations. Let discuss the further details below.
- Eligibility Test: Candidates should have a recognized college/ Must have a bachelor’s degree from a university or institute or its equivalent examination.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General Category Candidates in the Qualifying Test (SC/ST) ST/ST In case of 45% for PWD candidates, candidates should score at least 50% marks.
- Age Limit: There will be no age or attempt limit to apply for CAT.
- Appearing Candidates: The candidates who have appeared in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply. Those with professional degrees like CA/CS/ICWA can also apply.

Application Fee:
- Candidates can submit the CAT 2023 application fee only through online mode.
- Payment mode: Payment only credit card/card payment Debit Card / Debit Card Net banking and UPI payments can be done using gateways.

Pre-Requisite for CAT Entrance Examination 2023
- From July 2023, an advertisement inviting eligible candidates to enroll for the application form will be taken out. The registration process will begin from August 2023.
- Before actually taking the exam, an applicant must register with accurate and up-to-date personal and contact information. Registration is possible only through an online application form.
- For CAT 2023, there is no other kiosk or offline mode of application options.
- Once the advertisement is posted, the official website www.iimcat.ac.in will display the important dates for the CAT 2023 exam.
- To prevent any kind of misunderstanding, the applicant should check all the documents submitted for registration, qualification, placement, ranking and disclaimer regarding CAT 2023 on the official website.
- When an applicant has registered and obtained login credentials, he can take a practice test.
Registration of CAT 2023 Application Form
- Go to the official website of IIM CAT and click on the registration button
- Now, you have to get yourself registered using your email ID and password
- After registration is complete, login to your account using your login credentials
- After logging in, navigate to the application form and fill the application form with the correct details such as name, address, education qualification etc.
- Now, upload the documents below using the relevant upload button
- After uploading the document, you will need to use net banking, credit card/card. Online application fee has to be paid using debit card, UPI, etc.
- Be sure to take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future use
CAT 2023 Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: The CAT exam 2023 will be conducted through online mode (computer based test).
- Types of Questions: There will be two types of questions in the exam – objective and subjective questions will be asked in the exam.
- Time duration: A total of two hours will be given to solve the CAT question paper.
- Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative marking: Each incorrect answer in the objective type section/section 1 point will be deducted for the attempt. However, no negative marking will be done in the subjective section

CAT 2023 Admission Procedure
- There will be no centralised counselling for CAT 2023 as each IIM will conduct separate counselling based on CAT scores.
- The admission process will begin a few weeks after the results are declared.
- The final admission process will be conducted at the respective IIM campuses.
- The admission process will be different for each IIM, so candidates are advised to visit each IIM’s website individually before applying for the same.
- Each shortlisted candidate will be sent an admission confirmation notice through their registered email id and phone number.
- To accept the admission offer, candidates will have to report at their allotted centre within a certain time period.
CAT Admit Card 2023
- All the candidates who will qualify the written exam will be eligible to appear for the written exam.
- The call letter for the CAT exam will be uploaded on the CAT website.

CAT Answer Key 2023
- The CAT will release the answer key of the written exam after a few days of conducting the exam.
- With the help of the CAT answer key pdf you will know the probable marks that you will obtain in the written test.
- You can also raise an objection against the CAT answer key released by the commission in case you find an answer marked by the commission to be incorrect.
CAT Result 2023
- CAT will announce the result of the written exam and the final result on its website.
- The CAT result pdf will have the names of the qualified candidates who will be appointed to the CAT .
