The scholarship is paid to students whose income from all sources of parents/parents is not more than Rs.2.50 lakh per annum.
All children of the same parent/guardian are eligible.
The ST candidates who have passed a matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized university or board of secondary education are eligible.
Scholarship is available for study of all recognized post matriculation or post secondary courses in recognized institutions, except for certain training courses like aircraft maintenance engineer’s course, private pilot licence course etc.
Students studying through correspondence courses are eligible.
Students employed on leave without pay for the entire duration of the full-time course are eligible for the course.
Under this scheme, the scholarship holder will be eligible for any other scholarship/scholarship. He will not hold a stipend.
Students who have received coaching at any pre-examination training centre with financial assistance from the Government will not be eligible.
Objectives of Arunachal Pradesh Scholarship Scheme :
Support the parents of ST children for the education of their children studying in class IX and X to reduce school dropouts, especially in transition from primary to secondary level, and
To improve the participation of ST children in pre-matric level class IX and X so that they can perform better and get a better chance to move forward in the post-matric stage of education.
Payment of Arunachal Pradesh Scholarship :
Scholarship from 1st April or from the month of admission, whichever is later, at the end of the academic year, in the month in which the examinations are completed, provided that if the student gets admission after the 20th day of the month, the scholarship is paid.
The amount will be paid from the next month of the month of admission.
In case of renewal of scholarship, it will be paid from the next month of the month till the time of payment of scholarship last year.
The State/UT Administration to which they belong will be paid the scholarship amount to the selected students as per the procedure prescribed by them in this regard.
Mode of Payment of Scholarship :
To ensure timely and proper payment of scholarship amount to the beneficiaries, the State Governments/UT Administrations will ensure payment of scholarshipthrough their accounts in post offices/banks.
All State Governments/UT Administrations will implement a computerized management system of scholarships including ‘e-payment’ system.

MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BDS or Equivalent Courses
BAMS/BHMS or Equivalent Courses
B.Sc Course or Equivalent Courses
Diploma Course GNM/DMLT etc or Equivalent Courses
Certificate Course ANM or Equivalent Courses
2 or 1 Yrs whichever is earlier
Selection of Candidates :
All eligible persons should get the minimum qualification marks mentioned in the scholarship scheme, the scholarship will be given as per the prescribed in the scheme.
Candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarship suo motu by the State to which they belong and submit their application to the competent authority in that State.
Documents Required for Arunachal Pradesh Scholarship :
A copy of the application for scholarship in the prescribed form (separate applications for ‘new’ and renewal scholarships have been prescribed by the respective States/UTs).
A copy of the passport size photo (for new scholarship) with the signature of the student.
A ST certificate duly signed by an authorized revenue officer (basically) which is not below the post of Tehsildar.
An income declaration by self-employed parents/parents stating fixed income from all sources through affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper.
The employed parents/parents are required to obtain income certificate from their employer and for any additional income from other sources, they will submit the declaration through an affidavit on the non-judicial stamp paper.
If the applicant was receiving scholarshipunder this scheme in the last year, then the concerned institute/institution was not able to get the scholarship under the scheme.
Receipt of receipt of scholarship in the previous year on the form attached with the application duly countersigned by the head of the school.
The application complete in all respects will be submitted to the Head of the Institute/School, in which candidates will appear or appear for the last time and forwarded to the Sanctioning Authority after examination by the Head of the Institute and with their recommendation.
