Selection Process
Assistant Manager/Operations (postcode-E01):
- The selection methodology will comprise a two-stage process:
- Written Test
- Document verification & medical examination in the Executive (Technical) category.
Station Controller cum Train Operator (postcode-NEO1):
- The selection methodology will comprise a three-stage process:
- Written Test
- Psycho Aptitude Test
- Document verification & Medical examination in Aye-one (A-1) category.
Maintainer (postcodes NE02., NE03 & NE04):
- The selection methodology will comprise a two-stage process:
- Written Test
- Document verification & medical examination in Bee-One (B-1) medical category.
UP Metro Exam Pattern
- The Updated UP Metro AM, SCTO, Maintainer Exam Pattern 2023 is provided below.
- UP Metro Assistant Manager, SCTO Exam will be conducted for 2 hours and the total no of questions will be asked in the exam will be 140 questions.
- For Maintainer(Electrical), Maintainer (S&T), Maintainer( Civil) Exam also conducted for 2 hours and the total no of questions asked in the exam will be 100 questions.
- The question paper will be bilingual i.e, English and Hindi and it consists of multiple-choice objective type questions.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Minimum Qualifying Marks :-
Minimum marks in the required educational qualification for various categories will be 60%% for eandidates applying for UR, EWS & OBC vacancies and 50% marks for candidates applying for vacancies reserved for SC/ST.

- English Language :- Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc Improvements Etc.

General Awareness :- India’s Achievements in Science and Technology. Environmental issues; Disaster Management- Prevention and Mitigation Strategies.. Economic and Social Development of India. Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India. Physical, Social and Economic Geography and Demography. Socio-economic, Political and Cultural History of Modern India with special emphasis on Indian National Movement. Socio-economic, Political and Cultural History of India with special emphasison UP Statehood Movement and formation of UP state. Indian Constitution; Indian Political System; Governance and Public Policy
- Quantitative Aptitude :- Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area 2D-3D, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Partnership, Boat And Stream, Railway, Surds & Indices, Investment, HCF – LCM, Problem On Ages, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
- Logical Ability and Reasoning: Data Interpretation, Venn Diagram, Inductive Logic, Puzzles, Coding and decoding, Number Series, Blood Relations, Arrangements, Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships.
