Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the OPSC Geologist Recruitment vacancy, the candidates should have some required qualifications and age limits. Actually, OPSC Geologist used to recruit young candidates for initial level operations. Let discuss the further details below.

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must hold at least a Second Class Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Earth Science from any recognized University in India.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age – 21 years
• Maximum Age – 32 years.

Application Fee

• A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred) only.
• Candidates belonging to SC & ST of Odisha and Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.

Selection Process

• The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Geologists will be made on the basis of Written Examination and Viva Voce Test.
• The Commission will shortlist the candidates to be called for Viva Voce Test to a reasonable number taking into consideration the marks secured in the written examination above the cut-off point to be fixed by the Commission.

Salary

• The selected candidates would be getting a Scale of Pay of Rs. 56,100/- in Level 12, Cell-1 of Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness
• Other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.
