About University
- William Carey University (WCU), Shillong is a Private University founded in Meghalaya By an Act of Parliament.
- It came into existence on 1st March 2005.
- It provides mainly PG syllabus as well as paramedical, graduate syllabus.
- The university lays special emphasis on socio-economic and environmental development of North East India via social, economic, environmental, cultural and academic activities.
- WCU is operated by Mississippi Baptist Convention in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
