Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the UPSC CDS 2 Recruitment vacancy, the candidates should have some required qualifications and age limits. Actually, UPSC CDS 2 used to recruit young candidates for initial level operations. Let discuss the further details below.

Educational Qualifications

• For IMA and Officer Training Academy, Chennai – Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
• For Indian Naval Academy- a recognized University/ Degree in Engineering from the Institute
• For Air Force Academy- Degree of a recognized University (at 10+2 level with Physics and Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
• Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force will have to produce proof of graduation/provisional certificate on the date of commencement of SSB interview in SSB.
• The candidates who are in the final year/year. Those studying in the semester degree course and have not yet cleared the final year degree examination, they can also apply, provided the candidate has the final semester/examination. There should be no current backlog by year, the results of which have been declared by time. to submit the application and they have to submit proof of passing the degree examination at the time of commencement of the course.

Age Limit

• For IMA – Unmarried male candidates who have been born before 2nd January, 1999 and not after 1st January, 2004 are eligible.
• For Indian Naval Academy- Unmarried male candidates who have been born before 2nd January, 1999 and not after 1st January, 2004 are eligible.
• For Air Force Academy- Not born on 1st January, 2023, for the years 20 to 24 years i.e.
  Not later than January 1, 2003 (There is a relaxation of upper age limit up to 26 years for candidates holding valid and current commercial pilot licence issued by DGCA (India), i.e. not born before January 2, 1997 and after January 1, 2003. Only the characters are there.
• For Officers Training Academy- (SSC Course for Men) Unmarried male candidates who have not been born before 2nd January, 1998 and not after 1st January, 2004 are eligible.
• For Officers’ Training Academy- (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, non-remarried elector widows and unmarried divorcees not remarrying (in possession of divorce documents) are eligible. He should have been born not earlier than 2Nd January 1998 and not later than 1st January 2004.

Application Fee

• Candidates (excepting Female/ SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/ Master/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI Payment or by using internet banking facility of any Bank.

Selection Process

• The officials may conduct the Written Examination and Personal Interview as part of the selection process.
