About the Sri Devraj Urs (SDU) University
- In 1984, a group of dedicated and like-minded people, headed by Shri R.L. Jalappa, a champion of the cooperative movement in the State of Karnataka, established the Shri Devraj Urs Educational Trust for backward classes with a focus on the provision of medicine. Education and Social Services.
- The Trust started Shri Devraj Urs Medical College at Tamka in Kolar in 1986.
- Through this college, the Trust sought to make significant contributions to medical education, research and healthcare for the rural population.
- The college is located 5 km from Kolar Town in Karnataka.
SDU Admission Eligibility Criteria
- Students should have studied physics, chemistry, biology, English and an alternative subject at 10+2 level.
They should score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in three subjects in class 12 board examination. - In the entrance examination, they will have to score at least 50% marks in each of the three subjects. SC, ST and OBC candidates need to score at least 40% marks in the Eligibility Test and Medical Entrance Examination.
- The age of candidates in the year of admission should be at least 17 years on or before 31st December.

Important Instruction Regarding the Examination
- Candidates should reach the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- Students should carry the admit card and their valid identity card on the day of the exam.
- Take care of the question paper provided whether is correct or not, before writing your exam.
- There is a prohibition to carry any unfair means such as Mobile Phone/Pager, Scanner pen or camera, or any electronic/digital gadget, etc inside the examination hall.
- Students are advised to bring their stationery items. Exchanging of stationery is not allowed during the exam.
- Avoid any kind of malpractice during the exam. If any candidate is found involved in malpractice then he/she shall be booked under the UFM.
- If supportive material, other than that which is necessarily permitted, is found at or by the desk, it may be treated as an attempt to cheat and relevant procedures for cheating will be followed.
