Eligibility Criteria:

• The age of the candidates who appeared for the examination should not be less than 11 years as on 11 January 2023 and their age should be 13 years, which means that they should not be born before 02 January 2010 and not later than 01 July 2010.
• The applicant should have passed class 7th or 7th class from a recognized Board/Council, at the time of admission to RIMC i.e. 01st January 2023 will be a good percentage.

Application fee 

• The general candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.600/-.
• Rs.555/- to SC/ST candidates
• Demand draft should be prepared in favour of “Commandant Rims Dehradun”, Branch SBI Tel Bhawan, Dehradun Bank Code 01576, Uttarakhand.
• The application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

• Written Test: The written test will be conducted through offline mode with 400 questions. The question paper will be divided into three sections: English, Mathematics and General Knowledge in both English and Hindi languages. The minimum qualifying marks to pass the written test will be 50%.
• Viva-Voice: Applicants who have passed the written test will be invited to participate in the Viva-Voice in which the confidence level, personality and intelligence of the candidate will be tested.
• Medical Examination: Finally, applicants who have cleared both the above rounds have to undergo a medical examination at a selected military hospital. Only medically fit applicants will be shortlisted for selection in RIMC.

• Then navigate to the homepage and move your cursor to the Quick Links tab available on the right side of the homepage
• Now hit the “Notifications” tab in the drop down list of the Quick Links tab
• After that a new page will open on your screen, you just have to hit the link “National Indian Military College, Dehradun, Admission in July-2023 Term”.
• Now on reaching the new page, you have to read the RIMC admission notification carefully and ensure your eligibility
• If you meet the eligibility criteria then go back to the previous page and hit on the “Download application form” option
• After that take the hard copy of the RIMC application form and then enter the required details
• Also attach xerox of relevant documents with your recent passport size photo and signature
• Close it in an envelope and send it to the postal address below before the last date.

• The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode (written exam).
• The question paper will be of a total of 400 marks
• The question paper consists of three subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
• The exam is two stages/stages. it is held in letters. On the first day, the English and Mathematics exam i.e. Paper One and on the second day, General Knowledge i.e. Paper Two is conducted.
• The medium of examination for Mathematics and General Knowledge papers will be both Hindi and English.
• Candidates have to score 50% marks to qualify for the written test.
