MHT MBA CET Exam 2021 Highlights
The MBA CET exam 2021 is being conducted for 3 days by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. The exam is being conducted in 36 district headquarters along with several exam centres outside Maharashtra.
- Each question will have five options, and the test will consist of multiple-choice objective style questions.
- The MH CET Online Test will be conducted in English.
- The test will take 120 minutes to complete. Previously, the exam lasted 150 minutes.
- For an erroneous response indicated by you in the online test, there is no negative marking system.

- The VARC section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 1 question paper had approximately 45 to 50 questions.
- There were more Vocabulary and Verbal Ability questions than Reading Comprehension questions.
- The number of RC passages were more this year but the number of questions were same as previous years.
- There were four RC passages with 15-17 questions.
- All RC questions were inference-based.

- In the Quantitative Aptitude section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 1, there were about 50 questions.
- This section was dominated by Arithmetic and surprisingly, there was no Data Interpretation question.
- There were no questions on Quantitative Comparison, Approximations and Data Sufficiency, either.
- In Arithmetic, the questions were from Percentages, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Time-Speed-Distance, Averages, Ratio-Proportion and Mixtures & Alligations.

MAH CET 2021 Analysis For Abstract Reasoning & Logical Reasoning
Abstract Reasoning
- In the Abstract Reasoning section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 1, there were about 25 questions on series completion, analogies and odd man out, paper folding, etc.
- The section was easy and could be attempted within the time limit.
Logical Reasoning
- In the Logical Reasoning section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 1, there were 50-55 questions on Non-Verbal Reasoning and about 20 questions on Verbal Reasoning.
- About 40 Non-Verbal Reasoning questions were set based – eight sets of five questions each.
- Rest 15 were standalone questions on directions, letter coding and puzzles.
- This year, the Logical Reasoning section of MAH CET had no Sequential Output or Selection Criteria questions.
- In Verbal Reasoning, there were about 19 to 20 questions based on Analogies and Syllogisms, Cause-Effect reasoning, Assertion – Reason, Strengthen / Weaken the Argument, etc.

Abstract Reasoning
- Unlike Slot 1 in which there were 25 Abstract Reasoning questions, Slot 2 had only 10 questions based on series completion and paper folding.
- The questions of Abstract Reasoning section of MAH CET 201 Slot 2 were slightly tougher than previous years’ papers.
Logical Reasoning
- In this section there were 70 questions on Non-Verbal Reasoning and 20 questions on Verbal Reasoning.
- The number of set-based questions was much lower than stand alone questions.
- There were five sets on Arrangement out of which three sets were based on matrix arrangement and two were on circular arrangement.
- There was Sequential Output set with two questions and a Data Sufficiency set with one question.
- The standalone questions were from Directions, Linear Arrangement, Coding, Family Tree and Data Sufficiency.

- This section of MAH CET 2021 paper, there were 25 questions on Abstract Reasoning.
- The questions were based on Series Completion (11 questions) Odd Man Out (10) and Analogies (3).
- Like Slot 1 and 2, Slot 3 also had one question on paper cutting.
- Overall, the Abstract Reasoning section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 3 was easy.
Logical Reasoning
- This section of MAH CET 2021 Slot 3 was dominated by Non-Verbal Reasoning.
- There were about 60 questions on Non-verbal Reasoning and only six questions on Verbal Reasoning.
- There were several standalone questions as well as a number of set based questions.
- The set based questions included two sets on Arrangement, two sets on Coding-Decoding and one on Family Tree.

- Please note the date, reporting time and venue address of the examination given in the call letter. Candidates are advised to read your exam centre before time to avoid any delay
