Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Stenographer Grade-II:

• Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized University.
• Should have Diploma/ Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ Any institute.
• Must have knowledge of the Assamese language.
• Should have Employment Exchange Registration number for the state Assam.

For Stenographer Grade-III:

• The Candidate must be a High School Pass from a recognized Board/ Council/ University.
• Should have Diploma/ Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ Any institute.
• Must have knowledge of the Assamese language.
• Should have Employment Exchange Registration number for the state Assam.

Age Limit

Application Fee

• For SC/ ST – Rs.150/-
• For all others – Rs.300/-

Selection Process

• For Stenographer Grade-II: Stage-I (Stenography Test), Stage-II (Written Test), Stage-III (Viva-Voce).
• For Stenographer Grade-III: Stage-I (Stenography Test), Stage-II (Written Test), Stage-III (Viva-Voce).

Salary

• For Stenographer Grade-II: Scale of pay Rs.22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- + GP Rs.9,700/- + Other Allowances.
• For Stenographer Grade-III: Scale of pay Rs.14,000/- to Rs. 60,500/- + GP Rs.7,400/- + Other Allowances.
